Mitchell Snyder


Mitchell Snyder formerly served as both the Secretary and Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans. He also serves as the  Communications Director for the PA Young Republicans and as Treasurer of the Cumberland County Young Republicans. In addition to his volunteer work, Mitchell is a member of the PA GOP Staff serving as Deputy Digital Director. Over the past two years, he has spent his time advocating for Conservative Principles across Pennsylvania. He has appeared on television shows ranging from Business Matters to FOX 43 Nightly News talking about the importance of fiscal responsibility and the value of electing conservative candidates. He is a Junior at Dickinson College where he is dual majoring in Economics and Law & Policy.

Rachel Ferrance


Rachel formerly served as the Political Director for the PAFCR. In that position she worked to connect CR volunteers with numerous campaigns across the commonwealth including the special election in PA-18. She has been active in the college republican chapter at Shippensburg since she came on campus. She also serves as a member of the Communications Committee for the PAFCR. Rachel is from Luzerne County and is currently a sophomore at Shippensburg University. She is majoring in Public Administration with a minor in Human Communications.





Nicholas Shields 


Nicholas Shields is currently a junior at York College of Pennsylvania where he is studying Political Science. Nicholas is a recent graduate of Valley Forge Military College where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Political Science. Nicholas had the honor to represent his class as Student Body President while at Valley Forge. Nicholas was also Valley Forge Military College Republicans Chapter Founder and Chairman. Nicholas also was on the Ranger Challenge Team, Bataan Death March Team and part of Valley Forges Corps of Cadets. Nicholas recently Commissioned into the United States Army as an Infantry Officer. Nicholas is currently the Outreach Director on the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans. He is also the Treasurer for York County Young Republicans. Nicholas is also working as a Deputy Campaign Director for Mike Jones as he seeks for a seat in the State House.




Karly Matthews

Secretary / Communications Director

Karly Matthews is a sophomore at Temple University where she is majoring in journalism and political science and minoring in Spanish. She is currently the Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans. In this position, she manages the communications team and PAFCR’s public presence. In addition, Karly is the chairwoman of Network of Enlightened Women at Temple University, a Cabinet member with Future Female Leader, the Managing Editor of OUTSET Network and a Spanish-speaking anchor at Temple University Television. Karly looks forward to continuing her time with the Federation and continuing to develop its presence on college campuses all across the Commonwealth.

Nicolle Hughes 


Nicolle Hughes is a sophomore at Villanova University, where she plans to major in Accounting and minor in Spanish. At Villanova, she is heavily involved in College Republicans, serving currently as the Treasurer. She has had a fascination with the world of politics, which was founded at a young age by a passion for Republican values. She looks forward to serving PAFCR with essential communication and teamwork skills, both of which will help the organization flourish more in the future.

Reagan McCarthy

Executive Director

Reagan McCarthy currently previously served as the Deputy Communications Director for the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans. She is a Junior at The Pennsylvania State University, earning a dual degree in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism. She is also the President of the Penn State College Republicans. Reagan is thrilled to get to work with the Advance PAFCR Team to spread conservative values on campus and throughout the Commonwealth, and elect Republicans across the state in such an important election year.

Manny Jones

Political Director

Manny Jones is a freshman at Moravian College where he is majoring in Political Science. Manny started and serves as President of the Moravian College Republicans. He has worked on the Brian Fitzpatrick campaign as a team lead where he knocked the most doors out of his campaign office. Manny has also knocked doors for the judicial candidates in 2017 and has been called back to work on the Fitzpatrick campaign for 2018. He looks forward to helping Republicans across the commonwealth get elected and keep conservatism alive in government.





Dean Rizzo

Finance Director 

Dean has served as class president of the Student Government and am also the sitting president of the College Republicans. Academically I am pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in History. Together, with my hands-on congressional internship experience, I have proficiency in governance, fundraising, crisis management, as well as refined research and analytical skills and written and verbal communication abilities. These strengths will serve as the underpinnings of my success as finance director and serving the functions of the PAGOP at large. I am confident in my skills and zealous commitment to excellence which will allow me to successfully serve our party and agenda.





Carly Tomaine

Outreach Director 

Carly is a freshman at Misericordia University, studying Government, Law, and National Security. She is the President of the newly formed College Republicans of Misericordia University. Her involvement in politics began in 2016, where she interned with the Donald J. Trump for President Campaign. She then worked on a local election in 2017 during both the primary and general elections. In August of 2017, she began the Republican Leadership Initiative Fellowship Program with the PAGOP, where she spent time door knocking through NEPA, recruiting volunteers, and spreading the message of the Republican Party all through Pennsylvania. Currently Carly is the Grassroots Coordinator for the Dan Meuser for Congress Campaign. She is also the current Lackawanna County Young Republicans, Vice Chairwoman. Carly is looking forward to bringing all her skills to PAFCR, and use them to not only grow the College Republicans all throughout the Commonwealth, but to help elect more Republicans to the great state of Pennsylvania.
