• Media Mania: The Portrayal of President Trump’s Latest Comments

Democrats and the mainstream liberal media are once again in an irrational uproar about comments from President Trump.

During a roundtable meeting with politicians against sanctuary cities and federal immigration officials, President Trump rightfully condemned the MS-13 gang as “animals.” The White House Transcript gives this exchange between Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims and President Trump:

SHERIFF MIMS: Thank you. There could be an MS-13 member I know about — if they don’t reach a certain threshold, I cannot tell ICE about it.

THE PRESIDENT: We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country. You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. It’s crazy.

MS-13 is present in 42 out of 50 states and holds between 6,000 and 10,000 members, operating as one of the most violent transnational gangs. According to the FBI, members perpetrate an array of horrific crimes, including but not limited to murder, rape, drug distribution, prostitution, robbery, immigration offenses, home invasions, and vandalism. The gang’s motto? “Kill, Rape, Control.”

Keeping to one of his major campaign promises, President Trump has tasked federal law enforcement with targeting MS-13 members and boosted this effort with an executive order on transnational criminal organizations. Of course, Democratic lawmakers and pundits cringe at the idea of President Trump succeeding, and cannot stand his bold leadership to crack down on illegal immigrant crime and call violent members of the MS-13 gang exactly what they are: animals.

It took the New York Times all but three hours after President Trump’s roundtable meeting to release a fake story that misrepresented the president’s words and claimed that he referred to all undocumented immigrants “animals.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer also joined in on the spreading of this false narrative against the president:

In all irony, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke in a press conference about the repercussions of President Trump not acknowledging the human dignity of MS-13 members:

“So when the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘These aren’t people, these are animals,’ you have to wonder, does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity, and worth of every person?” Pelosi said.

This hypocritic sentiment comes from the woman who denies life in the womb, supports abortion at any stage of pregnancy, including inhumane procedures such as dismemberment and partial birth abortions.

Democrats in the media and in the chambers of Congress are irrationally furious at President Trump for condemning MS-13, a violent gang with murder and rape at the center of their mission, so much so that these opponents of the president are falsely spinning his words, yet again.

Defending the violent MS-13 gang is not the hill that the Left and its allies in the mainstream media want to die on, and this stunt is certainly not a great midterm message for the Democrats as their lead on the generic ballot narrows more each day.
